IMPORTANT
Beta version, state of the tests on 14/10/2026. The plugin runs on a petrol vehicle (trips, fuel, position, service) and on three electric vehicles, three Elroq (battery, range, charging locations; on one of them, charging detection, charging and air conditioning commands, customised tile and trips). Not yet tried on a real vehicle: a hybrid, auxiliary heating, and the experimental features. Feedback is welcome.
The detailed history of the earlier beta versions is in the French changelog.
0.89 — 15/10/2026
- Places: Jeedom “User” accounts can now create, rename, move them, change their colour and price, and search for an address, like an administrator. Naming a place is everyday use, not box configuration. A “Limited user” account can do so if it has the action right on the vehicle (the one that already lets it start charging or air conditioning); with read-only rights it sees places without being able to change them. The plugin configuration and adding a vehicle remain for administrators.
0.88 — 15/10/2026
- Top of the logbook redesigned: one button per vehicle, with its name only (without the object), a coloured dot, its state and its battery or fuel level, read again every minute in Jeedom without any request to Škoda; underlined tabs with an icon; “Devices” and “Configuration” shortcuts as plain text on the right; a hybrid's “Electric view” and “Fuel view” as two joined segments. On a phone, vehicles and tabs scroll on one line. No setting or data changes.
- Security (external review): the Škoda API key, the S-PIN code and the stored places stay encrypted in Jeedom and are only decrypted by the plugin when it uses them. Until now, Jeedom returned them in clear to any logged-in account that asked, including a restricted one (a wall tablet, for instance). Nothing to redo: the key and code already entered remain valid, and places are encrypted at their next update. In the input fields, the key and code are masked as before.
- Charging hours (experimental feature): a change made while others are still waiting to be sent to the same charging location now queues behind them; before, it could be sent alone and then overwritten by an older request. A request arriving while the scheduled task is sending is no longer lost, and two sends no longer leave a few seconds apart.
- Off-peak hours: with a numeric command (0 or 1), charging sessions longer than two hours counted 0 % off-peak once Jeedom had archived the history, keeping only an hourly average. That average is now taken as the off-peak share: costs already shown may therefore change, this time to become right.
- Logbook: the Vehicle tab stayed empty when the “widget template” option was unticked on the device (fault introduced in 0.86).
0.871 — 14/10/2026
- Standard tile: when the Charging and Air conditioning blocks sit side by side (wide enough tile), the charging mode list squeezed its “Mode” label, written one letter per line, and shifted the rest of the block (reported by a tester, with a screenshot). The label no longer wraps, and the list shrinks when space runs short.
0.87 — 14/10/2026
- The charging mode shows on the tile (requested by a tester): in the Charging block, a list shows the current mode, for example “Preferred charging times”, and lets you change it. It only appears if the vehicle offers at least two modes; elsewhere, nothing changes. On the customised tile, the change asks for confirmation. Changing mode costs two requests, like the other commands. Unticking “Show” on the “Select charging mode” command removes the list from the tile.
- Tried on the Jeedom box, on the demonstration vehicle: the list, the current mode and sending the choice from the tile; not yet on a car from the tile (the command itself is confirmed on two Elroq).
- Off-peak kWh price (a tester's idea): in the plugin configuration, a Jeedom command that tells whether it is off-peak, and the off-peak kWh price. For a charging session at home (at the position set in Jeedom), the part made off-peak is counted at that price, the rest at the usual price, which becomes the peak price. The Charging tab shows that part next to the average price. The command must be historised. Tried on the demonstration history, with a test command; not yet with a user.
- Consumption of short trips (a tester's remark): when the battery dropped by less than 5 points, the consumption of a trip or a day is now shown, preceded by “≈”. Before, the energy consumed was shown alone, without consumption.
- Standard tile (a tester's idea): for charging, air conditioning and auxiliary heating, a main button follows the state (“Charge” or “Stop charging”), and the opposite command stays next to it, small, as on the customised tile: the state shown may lag behind the car.
0.86 — 14/10/2026
- The tile can differ depending on the place (requested by a tester who wants the customised tile in the logbook but the standard tile on the dashboard and the phone). On the vehicle page, under “Tile customisation”, three optional settings: “On the dashboard and designs”, “On mobile”, “In the logbook”, each “As above (default)”, “Standard” or “Customised”. If you leave them alone, nothing changes.
- Tried on the Jeedom box: the three settings and their default value, and Jeedom's refresh of the logbook tile, which keeps the layout chosen for the logbook.
0.853 — 14/10/2026
Fixes after the tests of a second tester, on their Elroq: enabling, disabling and changing the hours of a charging time work, and so does changing the charging mode (“Immediate charging” is indeed Škoda's MANUAL mode).
- Preferred charging times: two changes to the same charging location sent back to back failed, Škoda refusing the second one (error 500). A change that follows a sending to the same location by less than 90 seconds is now queued, then sent about two minutes later, grouped with the following ones. A scenario can chain commands without a pause. A 500 refusal from Škoda is shown in plain words.
- Tile: “Cable unplugged” could show in the Charging block while the cable was plugged in, for example when the charger waits for a charging time. Škoda gives no charging state in that case, and the plugin kept the last one received. The “Charging state” command is now emptied (unknown state) when Škoda does not give it, and the tile then shows “Cable plugged in” from the cable state.
- Tried on the Jeedom box against a fake Škoda server that refuses close sendings: queuing, grouped sending, plain refusal, dropping if the box is unticked. Not yet on a car.
0.852 — 14/10/2026
- Preferred charging times: the “charging time hours” command also accepts Jeedom's hhmm time format, for example 2200-0600, or 700-1500 when a morning time has lost its leading zero. A scenario that computes its start and end times in hhmm format can therefore send them as they are, by writing
#…start…#-#…end…# in the message (requested by a tester who adjusts their charging times every day to the expected sunshine).
- Tried on the Jeedom box: 17 ways of writing times, accepted or refused as expected; not yet from a tester's scenario.
0.851 — 14/10/2026
Revision of 0.85, after the first real test of the preferred charging times, on a tester's Elroq: the feature works, and the numbering of the charging times is the app's.
- The charging modes use the MyŠkoda app's words: “Preferred charging times” stays, “Immediate charging” replaces “Manual” (in French, the app's “Heures préférées” and “Recharge immédiate”). Only the text of the “Select charging mode” list changes: the values sent are the same, so are your scenarios.
- Documentation: the charging times are only used if the “Preferred charging times” charging mode is chosen, in the app or with the “Select charging mode” command.
- The feature stays experimental: only one vehicle has tried it.
0.85 — 14/10/2026
- New “Experimental features” section in the plugin configuration, with an “Enable experimental features” box, unticked by default. An experimental feature is written from Škoda's documentation but has never been tried on a vehicle: it only appears for those who tick the box. If it is unticked later, its commands stay in place but are refused. Without the box, nothing changes.
- Experimental, not tested on a vehicle: setting the preferred charging times of the charging locations (requested by a tester). Three commands per charging location, for scenarios: enable a charging time, disable it, change its hours (for example 22:00-06:00; a charging time can cross midnight). The plugin reads the charging location again just before sending it and only changes the targeted charging time; each change costs three requests. With the box ticked, the tile shows the charging times numbered, inactive ones greyed out.
- Tried on the Jeedom box, without a vehicle, against a fake Škoda server: charging location sent back unchanged except the targeted charging time, unknown fields included; two changes in a row that do not cancel each other; clear refusals (charging time that does not exist, badly written hours, unknown charging location); names of the charging locations absent from the log. Not yet tried on a car: what the vehicle does, and whether the numbering of the charging times follows the app.
- Documentation: new page “Experimental features: tests to run”, for those who want to try.
0.84 — 12/10/2026
- New “Display units” setting in the plugin configuration: “Metric (km)”, as before, or “Imperial (miles)”. In imperial, the tile, the logbook and its exports show distances in miles, speeds in mph, and consumption the way it is expressed in the United Kingdom: miles per kWh for an electric car, miles per gallon (UK gallon) for a combustion car. The setting applies to all vehicles and does not depend on the language.
- Only the display changes: command values stay in kilometres, so that a scenario does not change meaning with this setting. Temperatures stay in °C, and the radius of favourite places in metres.
- New “Currency” setting, next to the units: the symbol shown next to prices and costs (€, £, CHF or $). No amount is converted: prices are entered directly in your currency. Units and currency are two separate settings: you can drive in kilometres and count in Swiss francs.
- Tried on the example data of the demonstration vehicle; not yet with a user who drives in miles.
- Plugin configuration page redesigned: at the top, a banner shows until when the API key is valid and whether your vehicles are up to date, with shortcuts to the logbook and to the vehicles page; a “Your vehicles” table gives, for each one, its level, its last update and the requests left this hour. Entering the key is presented in three steps. No setting has changed or disappeared: “Re-reading after a command” and “Radius of favourite places” are now under “Advanced settings”. Nothing is requested from Škoda to display this page.
- New plugin icon.
- Fixes from a full code review. Quota: an error after a successful reading no longer makes the vehicle be re-read every minute; the wait requested by Škoda when the quota is used up is no longer cancelled by saving the configuration, updating the plugin or the “Refresh” command; saving the configuration without changing anything no longer uses a request. Commands: a command with a value called without a value or out of range is rejected instead of sending 0 to the car. Diagnostic report: it no longer writes the name you gave the vehicle, only its model. Places tab: the name and address of a place can no longer be interpreted as code in the map tooltip. Logbook: fewer history readings per trip, period capped at 400 days, maps released when switching tabs.
0.83 — 12/10/2026
- The plugin is available in English. In a Jeedom set to English (Settings → System → Configuration → General → Language), the tile, the logbook, the vehicles page and the plugin configuration are displayed in English, with the words of the MyŠkoda app in English where they exist (“Inspection”, “Oil change”, “Boot”, “Bonnet”, “Smart home”…). Dates follow the language, numbers use a decimal point, and the Excel export then separates its columns with commas. In a Jeedom set to French, nothing changes.
- Documentation: it is now available in English, and the “Documentation” and “Changelog” buttons open it in the Jeedom language. Its “Commands” section now gives the full list of commands, one by one, with their exact name, their type and their value (possible charging and air conditioning states, limits of the settings), grouped by topic. Useful for writing a scenario.
- This version brings no new feature: it adds English and completes the documentation.
- The “Card” layout of the tile is now called the “customised tile”: in French the word was confused with the “Map” tab of the logbook (thanks to the tester who reported it). On the vehicle page, the setting becomes “Tile customisation”, with the choices “Standard (default)” and “Customised”, and “Customised tile background colour”. Your choice is kept, only the words change.
- The customised tile and the logbook trips are now confirmed on an electric car (an Elroq).
- What stays in French for now: the diagnostic report, the plugin log lines and the screenshots of the documentation.
- Good to know: a command name is given once and for all, in the Jeedom language at the time the vehicle is added; changing the language afterwards does not rename existing commands.
